Some Pictures
Lately I my love and passion for photography has been renewed. It's a good feeling so I know its right. My goal is to take one artistic photo every single day..... so we will see what path that leads us down. Anyway, here are some pictures that I took today October 27th in the morning with the 2 inches of snow! Sienna and I decided to take a walk this morning and discover the early frosting of fall this is what I came up with Oh and there are some others as well:
1 Year Pictures with Sarah Ward
Cassidy Mason a friend of mine that I worked with at foreverGreen told me about her sister in law's photography business and ever since I saw her work I have always wanted to meet her and have her take pictures of my kids (even before I had any) I absolutely adore her work. she is amazing at what she does and I hope that one day I will have a photography business that is as good as hers! She is incredibly inspiring!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to. Sienna's daddy is comforting her after she was frightened by all of us being excited at her eating her cake.
You can see the cut on her lip. She pulled the cocomotion machine by the cord off the counter and it scraped her lip. The day before the party.
For Sienna's 1 Year Birthday we had a Butterfly themed birthday party. It was a great time! We are so thankful to everyone who attended and for all of those who bought her gifts. She is definitely enjoying all her new toys and clothes.
My friend Persida made a beautiful butterfly birthday cake for the party and sienna dug in right away at the cake.....with a spoon! lol she was so dainty about eating it and did really good till she leaned down to take a big bite and everyone gasped. Then she got scared and that was the end of cake eating! This was a great birthday to remember

Blessing
December 6th 2009 Sienna was blessed in our home ward. We are so grateful for our friends and family that were there on this special day for our family.
Adjusting to Motherhood
I have to admit that being a mother is a huge adjustment. I want to spend every waking moment staring at my beautiful daughter (and the rest of the time is spent cleaning up after her!). Blogging just doesn't make it on the schedule most days, but today I decided that it was time to give an update.

I am Thankful For
I have been thinking today of all of the things that I have to be thankful for and I wanted to once again share some of them with you, my friends and family.
1. I am so thankful for my beautiful daughter Sienna. She is such an amazing baby! I love how happy and alert she is and I am so grateful for the joy that she has brought into my life!
2. I am thankful for an incredible husband who loves me and our daughter and is so supportive and helpful. He is my best friend and i am so glad to spend my life making him happy!
3. I am thankful for my cute little puppy Reedy. He is such a little doll and makes me smile! I love his cute personality and how much he adores me and Chris.
4. I am thankful for Friends. We have some great friends that really take care of us. We always have so much fun with Colin and Tyler and Mason, we can pretty much have fun doing anything! Steve and Christy are such sweet friends and we love to get together with them and their cute little guy Bradley. We have had lots of fun with Kaleb and Cass, Tyler and Tammy, Colby and Malea , Kendall and Christy and many many others! We are just so lucky to have so many fun supportive friends.
5. I am thankful for my health. I am grateful everyday for such a healthy body, one that allows me to do anything that I want. This past year it has been through a lot (having a baby isn't easy!) and I am seriously so amazed at what my body is capable of.
6. I'm thankful for our home. Especially now that it is getting cold outside and am so glad that we have somewhere warm to sleep and to rest protected from the elements. It's not huge by all means but it is perfect for us!
7. I am thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and for my testimony that it is the only true church on the earth today. The older I get the more and more my understanding is increased and I become more and more grateful for the Book of Mormon, for our prophet President Monson and for the truths that they teach. My life is what it is because of the gospel.
8. I'm thankful for my mother. After having a child of my own I have gained an amazingly deep respect and love for my mom. Holding Sienna I often think of my own mom, years ago holding me the same way and rocking me to sleep humming a lullaby. The love that I feel is so strong and I understand it now. Mom I want you to know how grateful I am that you nurtured us and loved us every single day the best way you knew how. You made me who I am today!
9. I can't be thankful for my mother without being thankful for my father. My dad sometimes worked multiple jobs to support our family and so that my mother would be able to raise our family. I am only beginning to understand now the sacrifices that have to be made to raise a family and I am so impressed by his dedication and I strive to create the same for my family. Dad, thank you for your example of how to be a hard worker, how to be a good person, love for the gospel, and how to serve others.
10. I am thankful for technology. Technology allows for me to be able to share with you the things that I am grateful for. It allows me to stay in touch with my sister and her family in Texas and other family far away, allows me to be able to learn new things with the click of a button, allows for us to have fun nights in playing the wii and many other things. I am grateful for the good things that technology has a brought into my life.
Now that I have shared what I am thankful for, I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving day with your family and friends.

Photo Shoot with Sienna
I have had an interest in photography for quite sometime now and for Christmas last year my wonderful husband surprised me with a professional quality camera. during my pregnancy I had this weird aversion to my camera and my computer, but now I am trying to get back into the swing of things. Here are some pictures that we took the other day of Sienna at 4 weeks old. Chris helped out and I appreciate him for being such a sweetheart husband and incredible daddy! The picture of him kissing Sienna's cheek is my favorite.

Skyping with our cousins
My brother and his wife brought over their computer with a camera so that we could skype with my sister and her girls in Texas. It was lots of fun for my sis to see Sienna and the girls loved it too! The littlest one calls Sienna "enna"and its way cute. Of course Sienna slept the whole time! :)

Not for the faint of heart!
April this one is for you! I hope you get a good laugh out of it because I am sure most people will be disgusted with this post.
Story behind the picture:
Sienna loves to poop and pee when her diaper is off! I could wait all day for her to finish doing her business and she will still poop or pee as soon as I pull her diaper off! You would think I am just a horrible diaper changer but seriously the second I go to switch the diaper she will "shoot" me with her powerful little pooper! This is a picture of the aftermath the other day. Enjoy!

I've been Beautified
My good friend Colin came over yesterday and we played beauty shop. I totally love my new haircut and it makes me feel so much better! Thanks Colin for the beautiful new do!
